Key Responsibilities
- Quality Control Oversight
- Manage and supervise quality control operations at every stage of production: Incoming materials, WIP, and Finished Goods.
- Ensure all quality inspection processes align with company standards and production targets.
- Customer Standards and Feedback
- Communicate and integrate customer feedback into QC processes to ensure product grading meets or exceeds expectations.
- Ensure cross-functional alignment on customer-specific quality standards.
- Compliance and RJC Standards
- Ensure all QC operations are compliant with Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) Code of Practices and Chain of Custody requirements.
- Support internal and external audits related to quality and RJC standards.
- Documentation and Standardization
- Develop, update, and maintain QC manuals, SOPs, inspection guidelines, and departmental job descriptions.
- Ensure documentation meets internal audit and RJC audit standards.
- Training and Development
- Organize and deliver training programs for QC staff, including RJC compliance, inspection techniques, and quality awareness.
- Promote continual learning and skills development in the team.
- Technology and A.I. Integration
- Promote or utilize A.I. tools or technologies (e.g., automated defect detection, predictive quality analysis) to improve inspection accuracy and process efficiency.
- Encourage the adoption of digital tools and data-driven approaches in quality management.
- Team Supervision and Performance Monitoring
- Assign tasks to QC personnel and ensure performance meets quality KPIs.
- Monitor daily operations and provide guidance to resolve quality-related issues.
- Reporting and Analytics
- Prepare and present weekly reports on defect rates, root causes, and preventive measures.
- Utilize data analysis tools and insights (potentially supported by A.I.) for decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Tool Calibration and Maintenance
- Ensure all QC tools and equipment are regularly calibrated and well-maintained.

- Perform additional assignments as directed by the Director or senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in quality control within the jewelry or precision-manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of RJC standards and compliance practices.
- Experience or familiarity with A.I. applications in quality control or manufacturing environments is a strong advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
- Excellent leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality excellence.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
